I have been involved the Heads Up Hartford camp for more than a decade as a volunteer. This is a WONDERFUL youth experience in caring, sharing, games & activities, camaraderie, and FUN FUN FUN! I have seen children arrive on day-one acting shy and a bit withdrawn, and concluding camp on day-seven as outgoing, elated campers CRYING that camp has ended. Many campers trade contact info with each other and talk about "NEXT YEAR!" It's a greater experience for these children than words can describe.
