Review for Elliott Advocacy, Spokane, WA, USA
My wife and I purchased a $1000 worth of Princess Cruise gift cards, at a 10% discount, in January of 2021, from Allstate Rewards [aka, Augeo Marketing].
Because of the Covid outbreak, Princess made a business decision to move that cruise out to December 2022. Once onboard this past December, Passenger Services reported that the cards were "unfunded." Over the 14-day cruise, we made numerous telephone calls and emails to the on-shore Princess Guest Services and to Allstate Rewards [AR] Customer Service, in efforts to recover the funding.
Princess refused to help us with their own gift cards, even though their cards "never expire." They insisted that the responsible party was AR because AR hadn't provide funding. In contrast, AR told us that we should contact Princess, because the cards were in Princess Cruise's name.
We spent 4 months in a "Catch 22". We provided: a date of purchase, AR's confirmation number and a copy of our January 2021 Visa statement, showing the purchase. AR told us multiple times that they were "no longer able to assist with this order due to the amount of time since [we had] placed [the] order." However, that answer made no sense, since our understand of tax laws is that the IRS requires every business to maintain accurate records for at least 3 years.
After months of frustrating communications with Princess and AR, we turned to Elliott Advocacy. Within a few hours, Dwayne Coward replied and, after receiving and reviewing a copy of our multi-page paper trail, Dwayne contacted AR and reminded them of their legal responsibility.
Concomitantly, I had contacted my local Allstate Insurance agent, who also helped us by bumping the problem up the corporate chain of command.
A few days ago, I received a call from Philip Fuentes, who is Allstate Insurance's coordinator with AR. He reported that AR has provided us with a full refund.
I am thankful for the assistance from both Elliott Advocacy and Allstate Insurance Company for stepping in and helping, after months of frustrating and fruitless communications.
