As a Volunteer of SAFE-Save A Forgotten Equine for the past 4 years, I have been continuously amazed at the leadership, transparency, heart and soul of this exceptional non-profit organization. With so many intricacies and the emotional and financial toll that come with running an organization on such a high level, the fact that it is quite literally saving the lives of so many abused and neglected horses that otherwise would not have a chance, you often wonder how is it all possible? Well, as the saying goes, it takes a Village and in this case a Wonderful Community of passionate, hard working, loving and caring individuals coming together to save these horses. SAFE is the kind of place where you get back so much more than you give. A haven; where on a daily basis you experience what love, patience, hard work and understanding can do for the health and well being of horses as well as humans. You will learn so much about horses and if you really pay attention, these horses will teach you so much about yourself and the world we live in. I believe SAFE is not just a place for rescue horses. It is an Experience-A SAFE HAVEN that will forever change your life, horses and all those around you in the most magical way. I am so very thankful and proud that SAFE’s existence would not be possible if not for the tenacity and grit of its founders. Thank you for saving so many lives!
