Review for Save A Forgotten Equine, Redmond, WA, USA
I cannot say enough good things about SAFE. This non-profit organization is top notch with their transparency, and mission. I have been honored to be a volunteer for this great organization since 2017. During this time, I have witnessed horses with broken spirits, that have been neglected, and mistreated come through the gates of SAFE, and have witnessed their amazing transformations. There is nothing like witnessing the spark and spirit come back into the life of a horse. This process does not, always come overnight however, the transformations come when the horses realize they are finally in a safe place, loved, and know they can count on quality feed and consistant care. More often, than not, this happens in a relatively short period of time. The most, heart breaking is when horses have been neglected and mistreated for so long that there is no coming back. SAFE always takes the horse’s best interest into consideration even though that decision is the most difficult to make. That decision is never taken lightly, and care and evaluation, is always of utmost importance. The love and consideration that goes into every horse is what makes being a SAFE volunteer so special.
