Review for Community Assistance Network Inc, Baltimore, MD, USA
As a former resident/client of the Community Assistance Network (CAN) Eastside Emergency Family Shelter in Rosedale, Maryland located at 9150 Franklin Square Drive, I can express with certain that any donation made should be labeled with a defined use or requested to deliver personal to the residents themselves. From staff to management to upper management, us as residents have personally witnessed theft of donations of food, personal care items, clothing, gift cards, etc., This past Christmas, residents were limited to 3 donated items each, while RAs (staff) drove home with their trunks, backseats, and front seats filled will dozens of donated items Between July 2022 thru January 2023. Singles suffer the most when it comes to getting necessities they need, as singles are treated as if they shouldn't be homeless or displaced. This is why it's always best to donate, not our of habit/tax breaks, yet from the heart, this way when the items are not delivered to the intended party (homeless residents/clients), the punishment from God would be that much great to thoughts stealing with no thought to the face that they are actually committing crime. And yes, there's physical proof as there are cameras in the areas these thief's took place
