Viva Rescue is one of the best nonprofits in the area. They do so much for the animals that are in their care and continue to ensure that the animals are well taken care of. The animals are super friendly and have overcome some of the worst situations but you would never know by how kind the animals are. They are constantly taking in new cases and supporting other rescues. Last year during the fires they were helping other rescues and animals providing shelter and supplies. Honestly the people who are they are terrific. As a volunteer they provided training and support in how to interact with all the various animals and are available to answer any questions that you may have. It is seriously the best place to spend a few hours of your time.
