Review for Project Night Night, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Providing a Night Night kit (new blanket, stuffed animal, and age-appropriate book inside of a canvas tote bag) to homeless children is a wonderful way to help some of our country's most vulnerable. As someone who sleeps under a weighted blanket and keeps a stuffed platypus and book nearby, I greatly appreciate how this would help ease the stress of being in an unfamiliar place.

I first learned about Project Night Night several years ago when a student organization where I worked was collecting stuffed animals, blankets, and books for unhoused/homeless children.

A couple of years ago I ran across them again and began to look for deals and donate the items to them. Kendra Robbins, Founder and CEO, is located in San Francisco not far from me, and has graciously received my donations. I enjoy her stories of children receiving their Night Night packages, groups running drives, individuals donating and more. I've always been supplied with tax receipt upon delivery of my donations.

My favorite places to look for deals on blankets is Old Navy and Kohl's for stuffed animals.
Both the Michigan and San Francisco location accept donations via mail, and I recently noticed that PNN has an Amazon Wish List ... but the deals at Kohl's ($5 or less) are usually the best. :)

Kendra and Jessica, thank you for all that you do for homeless/unhoused children.
