Oof... where can I begin?
I was a MUN competitor and met many teenagers at my age, that many of whom were from very different backgrounds. I am Jewish, and they are Muslim. Jerusalem Peacebuilders let me meet them, truly know them, and become friends with people I would otherwise never encounter beyond a random, brief conversation... the connections made in this program are powerful.
The commitment to each other, and the true human love between the members makes one open his heart and ears to their story, absorb it, and share his own safely.
That platform is crucial for bringing our barriers down and creating important dialogue. I am so thankful I could be part of that. It opened my eyes.
