HTDC is helping people so their community prospers. When our community members prosper, we all prosper. Society tends to shy away from helping the very people the HTDC reaches out to. Young women that have experienced abuse, neglect, and lived in an environment of substance abuse often repeat that cycle. They really don't know they can live a different way. HTDC helps break that cycle by showing hurting women and their children that Jesus loves them, even if their earthly families placed conditions on their love, Jesus doesn't. We all like to think "that could never happen to me" but we are all one life experience away from being vulnerable to hopelessness.

As a volunteer and board member for HTDC I have seen first hand the impact they have on the community. Food distribution 3 times a week, various community outreach events, and most importantly helping women and children in crisis by providing them an opportunity to avoid homelessness, providing them with life skills to stop the cycle of dysfunction, and give them hope that they can live a responsible and principle based life. The founders and their family are heavily involved in the organization, and they have outstanding support from businesses and other organizations within the community.
