CRRC is the crowning jewel of Canyon Lake, Texas. I have volunteered for several years now at The North Pole Village. NPV transforms the Recreation Center into a Christmas Wonderland for children of all ages. For a small entrance fee participants are treated to many activities including a bakery for decorating Christmas cookies, face painting, a toy store with free stuffed animals, a petting barn with puppies, a Post Office to write letters to Santa, a library with a free book for each child, a visit with Santa (with a photo), a craft house to make ornaments, a Church with a Christmas lesson, a live Nativity Play, and a hay ride with caroling.
