Save the Family is an incredible non profit in the East Valley that serves a vulnerable population, families experiencing homelessness or at risk of eviction due to COVID-19. They have a dedicated staff committed to surrounding the families with support and resources to overcome homelessness and achieve self sufficiency. They do this by having Case Managers and support staff (Career Services, Youth Coordination, Financial Literacy 1:1's, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling) to come alongside the family and give them a hand up. They continue their wrap around services by providing on site childcare and transportation for meetings at the office and job interviews. They use trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and other modalities to meet the families where they are and help them to reach their goals. They are strong advocates for families in need of more services or permanent supportive housing. In the current market of high rental prices and inflation, the valley needs more organizations like Save the Family, fighting for equity and inclusivity for all families.
