This past summer I was lucky enough to volunteer at Beyond Basics, where I saw first hand, a group of people whose commitment to changing lives through literacy was contagious.

Their dedication and drive inspires not only other volunteers, but also the students they work with. Many organizations claim to make a difference, but Beyond Basics is actually doing it! After my experience, I am going to keep promoting Beyond Basics proudly.

Closing the literacy gap is critical and Beyond Basics is a front runner - we should all donate and support them in their important work!
