As a teacher, I have received assistance from The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools on several occasions. They give out classroom grants every year, which helps teachers do amazing things in the classrooms. The Foundation organizes the yearly Golden Apple program that recognizes teachers who go above and beyond. In addition, the Foundation keeps a supply for teachers to come and "shop" from. I ran a used bookstore at my previous school and needed a constant supply of children's books. I was able to visit the Foundation whenever my shelves were low and stock up with a truckload of books. Thank you Foundation team!
