About a year ago I learned about Beyond Basics for the first time. Since, my life has been totally changed!

The work they do promoting efforts to eliminate illiteracy in schools is inspiring.

Everyone on staff is extremely passionate and works well together to get things done.
Having a fulltime job but wanting to get involved, I have been able to work to create Leaders for Literacy within the organization. This is a group of young professionals brought together to be aware of the issues surrounding illiteracy in our community. We work with Beyond Basics staff to plan these events and share content that shows the work being done by the organization and the impact.
