Review for Northwest Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network Inc, Philidelphia, PA, USA

I have been involved with NPIHN for virtually all of its years of existence as at various times a Congregational Coordinator and a board member. I have seen many,many families grow and blossom as a result of their experience with the Network and the volunteers and staff that make up the Network. The Network has grown greatly so that it not only hosts families but also seeks to help the guests after they have moved on into the community. It's been great to observe the development of the organization and the expansion to meet families in many different ways, all while doing so in a very cost-effective manner. I also feel that the volunteers benefit greatly by their involvement with the guests who "put a face" on the societal problem of homelessness. The Network is a blessing to many, and I continue to support it through my time and money.

Talking with guests after they have "graduated from the program" and observe and hear feedback from congregation members who have volunteered

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Obtain more funding so that the staff could be paid better and the services could be expanded further

Role:  Volunteer & I've served as congregational coordinator for about 15 years which I coordinate the efforts of our volunteers when the guest arrive at our congregation. I've also served as a board member.
