The American Bird Conservancy sends regular updates and detailed information about the many different and extraordinary birds in our country, which serves all of us as members who are both fascinated with, and care deeply about birds. But ABC does so much more than this. It takes a holistic approach to the survival of birds --impacted by so many human-caused challenges that threaten their survival. This educates its audience and motivates us to act. Advocacy is so important, especially now, as we lose bird species at an alarming rate. We need organizations like ABC on the front lines, not only to educate people about the beauty and importance of birds, but also to ensure the necessary steps are taken for their survival.
