This group is highly effective in its efforts to fight unnecessary and harmful fossil fuel projects and to preserve our precious supply of drinking water. FWA was instrumental in New York's decision to prohibit further fracking in the state and has participated (and prevailed) in every effort to bypass the ban by piping fracked gas through the state. Staff and volunteers appear anywhere that elected officials welcome public input (and some where they don't) to make clear that protecting our environment is a legacy we must leave following generations. For donors, FWA makes a dollar go further than any other organization. A++++

This nonprofit is my all-time favorite as they pursue their goals with fervor despite a small budget. Their volunteers and staff have been remarkably successful in blocking dangerous fossil fuel projects by participating in public hearings, confronting public officials, and educating the public as to exactly why changes must be made. This group has also been fighting factory farming and other activities that befoul our precious drinking water. They are the most effective environmental group that I know and I've been proud to be a volunteer and donor. Highly recommended.
