My oldest daughter is a brain tumor childhood cancer survivior. The tretments that she recieved saved her life but also took the life that she should be leading. She has been ill and disabled for the last 23 years. Her friends have moved on, her siblings have graduated college, are married and/or have careers. Denise has neither. Next Step has provided an opportunity for Denise to meet friends with similiar difficulties, to have fun and to gain information and resources. As her mom, I appreciate the time with other families and the support and caring that we both give and recieve!
