North Beach Citizens is a very special breed of nonprofit organization. They actually make an impact in real people’s lives every day. Every negative news article about San Francisco cites the homelessness crisis as a major problem, and NBC is one of the few groups I see actually making a difference. They have an incredible 90% success rate for clients staying in long term housing once placed, and their food pantry program has ramped up to meet community needs since the beginning of the pandemic. The staff and board all care deeply about helping the community that they love so much, and I am honored to have the opportunity to help them.
