I recently completed a trip with the help from Veterans Airlift Command. Mr. Mike Schroeder piloted me from Ogden, Utah to Anaheim, California for a medical procedure. I have spent the past 6 years going to and from medical appointments and procedures for a chronic pelvic nerve condition. Over the last 6 years we have spent deep into our retirement savings and costs for travel, medications, and medical co-pays which have had a serious impact on our time and financial stability. My condition effects my ability to sit or lay for any period of time without causing extreme stabbing/burning pain that affects my pelvis and lower limbs. So, being able to fly directly to my destination and not being trapped in commercial airline seats was a true relief. It’s so nice during these tough times to still have faith in the kindness of others and it is a pleasure to know there are selfless people out there who are willing to sacrifice their time and efforts to helping others in need. Thank you to Mike and Veterans Airlift Command for the kindness and dedication to those in need.
