Iowans of all ages have been invited into the hugely varied worlds of hundreds of cultures thanks to CultureALL. It has become the go-to organization to teach Iowans the value of diversity. Moreover, CultureALL has taken on the extremely important challenge of providing answers to the question of “what compels Iowans to become more accepting of differences.” The goal is to recommend resources targeted specifically for “Iowans who don’t believe diversity is an issue for them” by designing content employing a variety of methods “to engage Iowans to be more accepting and adapting to differences.” In taking on this challenge CultureALL brings to the table the vision, the experience and knowledge, the staff and training, and the participation of scholars and leaders in the community to address this complex challenge. Arguably it is the challenge of our times. CultureALL is uniquely positioned to expand the hearts and minds of the community toward the creation of a more just and equitable society.
