My Nonprofit Reviews

I was fortunate to work with this nonprofit program last year as a mentor. Karen and Kevin Ogden, along with Paula Zimmerman have spent hours developing curriculum to support ninth grade students with social and emotional skill building skills, utilizing college mentors to deliver the content curriculum in small group settings. The goal is for the young high school students to develop confidence to make healthy choices and positively influence others. I witnessed many high school students open up during conversations about situations they struggled with, but didn't know where to get help. The skills they learned in this program gave them hope. As a lifelong educator, this program is one of the best social/emotions tools I have experienced.
