I was introduced to Village2Village Project more than 15 years ago and have been sponsoring one or more children ever since. I was impressed from the beginning when I learned that the director knew all these children by name and the story of each of their lives and the family history. Even now with serving more that 135 children, she still knows each one of them as though they were part of her own family. I like the way V2V helps the children in this program with education, nutrition, and healthcare as well as support their families. Sponsored children write regularly to their sponsors and in this way, as a sponsor myself, I am able to learn more about a child that I will probably never meet. It is such a personal way to know that my donation is really making a difference and an impact in a vulnerable child's life. Village2Village Project really lives up to their mission statement, "To provide comprehensive, empowering, respectful and compassionate care for vulnerable children and their families, one life at a time."
