I was living check to check and then my checks stopped. bills were due and more were on the way, including rent, and my gas tank was empty, keeping me from driving to reach temporary work. My time was running out I needed an answer so I searched the web with keywords like gigs and can't pay rent, etc. Via social media I was able to make arrangements with Sable to receive a gas card that gave me two full tanks. It allowed me to drive to a new job, continue to pay my bills, and gave me a helping hand that prevented possibly years of increasing hardship/ I haven't slipped deeper into poverty, simply because Sable sands helped keep me from sinking. I'd likely be jobless facing eviction/ dealing with homelessness right now if not for them. I am super grateful! I decided to volunteer time for sable sands to help others receive the same kind of help.
