Blue Oaks Center is a 501c(3) non-profit for the preservation of the Baca Chica Barb horse. Over the past 7 years, the BOC administration worked diligently to not only gather all breedable preservation stock but to create a DNA database.

We have worked with Victoria Tollman at Equus Survival Trust for the past 3 years. Under her guidance, she helped us establish and strive for the essence of purebred breeding. She supported us in creating a pedigree analysis for the entire Baca Chica herd. With her support, we feel more confident in going forward as an organization preserving the rare and endangered Baca Chica horse. Her emphasis on “extinction is forever” was powerful for us and has now led to many opportunities for the Baca Chica herd. We thank Victoria and the EST organization.
