Review for College of Adaptive Arts, Saratoga, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is on behalf of a parent and board member:

I first enrolled my son, Wiley JaWuan Shepherd, into the College of Adaptive Arts during the winter Quarter of 2018. We learned about CAA through Angels On Stage where Wiley was participating in a play. We just kept hearing about it and my interest kept pealing. I first enrolled my son, Wiley JaWuan Shepherd, into the College of Adaptive Arts during the winter Quarter of 2018. We learned about CAA through Angels On Stage where Wiley was participating in a play. We just kept hearing unbelievable thinking about it and my interest kept peaking.

We finally took the tour and met some awesome people. Among those we met were the impressive Co founders, DeAnna Pursai and Pamela Lindsay. They were very down to earth, yet professional. They demonstrated a genuine interest in having my so become a part of this life long learning process. My son was excited at the possibility that he could go to college. He was ready to drop out of his day program. He fell in love with the belly dancing class and the instructor. He actually learned the steps and timing to move with the beat of music. He began to grow, thrive and gain confidence in his ability to learn. He was hitting his stride when Covid-19 hit. He missed going to the site, but has continued on Zoom. All of his professors have been very encouraging, patient and attentive. They seem to love working with the developmentally and intellectually different. They seem to see and focus on abilities. The learning environment is very positive and upbeat. It is one that promotes success for it students. Student interact with each other and are helpful to one another. My son is also a member of the cheer squad. He golf during the Annual Golf Class

The college has grown tremendously and continues to grow and expand in students and it’s course offerings. There is no other resource like the College of Adaptive Arts for our children. They also encourage and desire that parents become involved.
