I have been involved with Playworks for the past 5 years — first on the Northern California Regional Board and now on the National Board — and I continue to be blown away by the impact we are having throughout the country. I personally have benefited from the power of play as a youth and an adult, and the work Playworks does to bring out the best in every kid is an inspiration. Especially on the heels of the pandemic and broader fracturing of societal norms and niceties, the value of creating organized recess and inclusive play activities to teach kids about teamwork, conflict resolution, and problem solving is as important as ever. Kudos to the entire team at Playworks!!
