My wife and I moved from St. Louis, MO to Columbia, MO about 3 years ago to be closer to our grandchildren after we both retired. Our son suggested that we volunteer with Missouri River Relief so we would stay active. He told us what a great organzation it was, so we agreed to try them out. Well let me say one thing, we found the staff and volunteers at Missouri River Relief to be very friendly and welcoming. The work they are doing with educational programs, river clean-ups, river races and the advocacy for the Missouri River are just outstanding. We have both volunteered at numerous programs throughout the last three years and we can honestly say that this organization is something that everyone would be proud to be a part of. We both highly recommend becoming crew members and volunteers. I believe in the work they are doing so much that I volunteered to become a Board member of the organization.
