I am an independent animal rescuer and I fund my rescue efforts out of pocket. Occasionally, the animals I rescue have more involved health concerns that I can’t afford. Anytime I’ve reached out to 4Paws for support, they’ve been there for me. They truly are a great non profit!

In January of 2021, I was contacted by a person in Detroit who I often help with stray animals. He had been feeding a young female cat and he noticed her feet were terribly wounded. We presumed she was caught/burned in a car engine. I had just drained my bank account on another stray and needed help with funds. I contacted 4P1H and Diana immediately played a vet visit. We discovered kitty was already spayed and must have been displaced or discarded. Her feet were hard to look at and we thought she might lose a foot or two. With the expert help of the vet, we began the process of treating her wounds. She spent the next month in my bathroom getting foot baths and meds and she made great progress! Long story short, her name is now Onyx and she’s alive and well in a loving home.
