I came to Roatan Honduras last year with the goal of finding my soul again. Living in the USA in a large metropolitan city has taken its toll. I was tired of concrete and missed the ocean, or trees, or mountains... Any would do. A few months into my year I met a Dive Instructor who had been in the now famous documentary, Adapting to Dive. I was in awe over the entire concept and immediately wanted to learn how I could get involved. Two different Diveheart groups came to Roatan back to back weeks this fall. I got to spend two days with one group, and one day with the other. It was so amazing to watch the divers and the staff and volunteer staff do their thing. YES I yelled to myself!! This is it... It is the thing that I want to be able to do... It is how I can bring together my education, careers, hobbies, and life experiences. So I am in hot pursuit of becoming an Advanced Dive Buddy. And I am so excited.

Even if you do not dive, this is a foundation worthy of your donations. The difference they make in these people's lives during the week they spend with them is incredible. Life lessons abound for everyone. The emotional reward as you watch the long hours and hard work pay off is unparalleled.
