I love this place - so much so that for the last 3 years (minus Covid shutdown time) I've spent 2 days a week there working my buns off to help keep the chimps home clean, full of enrichment and their bellies full of fresh produce! If you follow their blog and ever wonder if the place and people are as wonderful as they seem - it and they truly are. I'm surprised at the level of transparency that can be found on their blog and in interactions with the staff and co-directors. Every decision they make is with the chimps wellbeing in mind. Every. Single. One. I plan on spending the rest of my life dedicating as much time and resources to the sanctuary as is in my power. This is a truly special place.
