We worked with CultureALL to coordinate a culture day for our district’s summer school program. Students in 3rd through 6th grade were able to experience workshops from different CultureALL Ambassadors focusing on countries and cultures from around the globe. Youth enjoyed the hands-on learning. Educators appreciated the fact that the CultureALL Ambassadors brought their unique and authentic perspectives to the workshops. Helping students see how globally diverse Iowa is through connections with Iowans of so many backgrounds was a great way for students to advance our goal of growing their global awareness and understanding.
