I’m a former Board member for literacy Network. This organization does a wonderful job of helping people be their best selves. Not being able to communicate is such a huge barrier to everything from reading street signs, to performing a job, reading to your children, understanding a doctors prescription… Literacy Network not only breaks down the communication barrier; it also gives its adult learners options, self reliance, confidence, a way to build community in a new environment, and so much more. It allows people to be community contributors that allows all of us to benefit from the many talents they bring to our community. Without that communication skill, we in the community would miss out on the gift these adult learners bring. Literacy Network’s staff and volunteers are top notch. They have expertise; they have compassion. Thanks so much to the work of Literacy Network. It helps change lives!
