I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer early in 2020 and given a slim chance of survival. My local oncologist suggested I make an appointment at MD Anderson cancer center in Houston to see if they had any clinical trials that would be open to me. As it turned out, they had several trials that I qualified for but they all required frequent trips to Houston and multi-night stays. I'm happy to say that my latest trial is producing encouraging results but without Lazarex's travel reimbursements I could never have afforded the travel costs to participate. My family and I are very grateful for the program and we hope it continues well into the future.
