I worked on a Horsey House Call this summer in Detroit and it was an uplifting, positive experience I look forward to repeating next season. The Camp Casey staff was flexible and adapted quickly to challenges with the weather changing (an unexpected pop up rainstorm) and more children at the house call than originally planned. Throughout everything the staff was positive and upbeat and worked together to make sure it was a great experience for the children and the family. The gratitude expressed by the parents and the child we served (all the children there) was so heartwarming. It sent me home with a big smile and ready to do it again! I would highly recommend volunteering for Camp Casey, you will leave with great memories and good feelings that will stay with your for a very long time.
