As an avid animal lover who grew up with horses, I know firsthand the sheer amount of work taking care of these magnificent animals can be. When horses experience abuse or neglect, that work multiples exponentially. Thank goodness for people like Chris Nichols and organizations like The Medicine Horse Project! It’s been my privilege to be involved with this program as a donor for the last few years. I love the work they’re doing…rescuing mistreated horses and donkeys, giving them a soft place to land as they heal, and helping those who are ready to find their forever home. I am constantly inspired by the courage of these animals, as well as the boundless love of those who help them, and there is truly a place reserved in Heaven for people like Chris who do this work.
