CAE is a unique organization that models great programming for other non-profits. The approach to anti-violence work incorporating self-defense and martial arts is a blend of mind, body, and spirit that inspires and educates in a profound way. Not coincidentally, it's also a wonderful community of people.

I've become far, far more thoughtful about the roots of violence thanks to CAE; more skilled in protecting myself when necessary; and learned a lot about teaching and what makes a good teacher.

Provide an endowment.
Role: Volunteer & Was a self-defense and karate student; taught self-defense and anti-violence training to many schools and community groups; served as a staff person and board member.
