Review for Medicine Horse Project, Imlay, NV, USA
I have Loved being apart of and watching MHP from CA to NV!
I met Chris & Morgan 4+ years ago now. Working with and gentling wild horses is one of my favorite things to do and they had some wild ones Chris said I just HAD TO MEET. That was when I first met Red DAWN(May 3 2020) a little 13h Red Bay Roan, rez mustang mare. Meeting and playing with all the horses and talking with Chris was MAGICAL. But Dawn & I shared something special, At the time I would have loved to adopt from MHP but was not in the spot to add more horses…. I had just began expanding my own horsemanship goals and became an equine and livestock vet tech pursuing her own Rescue and Trainer Dreams! With help and guidance from friends and fellow rescuers like Chris at MHP, I am fulfilling those dreams! Fast Forward, 1 year after meeting Dawn, MHP moved to Nevada and that is when Chris Contacted me again, she said “from that day I knew she needed you, can you take Dawn as a Rescue to Rescue Transfer?” This time I was in position and rescue was doing good, There was no hesitation! And things were set in motion! My Girl was coming home!
I’ll never forget the day Morgan delivered Dawn to me (: (May 16 2021) and all the memories and how far we have come together since! Dawn became CAYA, my little Cayenne Pepper, Spicey Girl, My Little Roany Pony! I finished her gentling, continued her training. We continue to build and grow today! Close to 1.5 yrs of being together. This once wild pony is now a citizen/ little lady, who is learning to ride and maybe one day drive, and I love her and her personality to bits and pieces!
MHP has helped myself and my rescue, HHH, in so many ways! From guidance, contracts/paperwork, to actual horse rescues and transportation! To placing Dawn with me, knowing who and what a horse needs. I am forever grateful and cherish our relationship!
I can not say it enough, just how much I appreciate MHP, their mission, and their commitment to giving these horses and humans the best they can and making sure forever love and Horse Medicine is possible.
Thank you C&M, Thank You MHP
