I started fostering with RezDawg Rescue in 2017. I knew several other fosters and liked how they had set up volunteers for success. Every foster goes through a very extensive orientation and is set up with a mentor to help answer questions. I fostered both felines and canines. I also volunteered to help out with medical records and adoptions and started in a paid position in 2018. I know first hand the medical vetting that goes into every animal to make sure they are healthy before adoption . I also now that every adopter is screened to be the best fit for the animal and the adopter so both are set up for success. We do offer a 14 day refund if the adoption does not work out. We also offer medical care within that 14 days if an adopted animal gets sick. Our only stipulation is that they must be seen by our rescue vets to control costs. After our family dog passed away from cancer, I made the decision to adopt a dog from another foster in Rezdawg in 2020 and he is the best brother to the puppies and adult dogs that I continue to foster. We also ended up adopting one of our fosters because he fit into our family. Some call it a foster fail but we consider it a success. Rezdawg Rescue saves the lives of over 2000 animals every year and finds them loving homes. They also provide services in the communities they serve by offering spay/neuter and low cost vaccination clinics.
