When I was searching for a dog on PetFinder, I was able to connect with the shelter and their coordinators with extreme ease. I was able to visit in my own schedule and meet the pups I was interested in. I was given as much time as I desired to spend with the pups, which eased my anxiety and made my choice a no-brainer. Afterwards, I spoke with Jeannie for over an hour on the phone, discussing my home life and what type of pup I was looking for. She made me feel confident in my decision to adopt Peach (previously Alana). I adopted Peach a week or so later and Jeannie checked in with me often afterwards. They provided all of Peach's previous medical information (as much as possible) which made finding a vet a flawless journey. Overall, I cannot speak high enough of The Humane Society of McCormick County. They were so kind and made me feel abundantly supported. I could (and can!) tell that they care immensely about their animals and the services they provide for them. I adopted Peach in January of 2021 and I still am in contact with Jeannie after all of this time. I am so thankful I was able to find Peach and adopt her through such an incredible organization.
