Review for Empowerment International, Albuquerque, NM, USA
I volunteered with EI because they are one of the few out there who are actually doing Aid right. They really do empower communities, one family at a time. No messing with local economy. No messing with role of parents. No free hand outs. They meet parents halfway and support them in sending their kids to school. Parents remain parents to their kids, not EI.

that I now have confidence that I can implement the kind of change that EI is doing in Nicaragua right here in Canada. There are many disempowered native people who are isolated from the rest of Canada. I hope to impact them the same way that EI empowers communities everyday.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Increase the manpower. There is so much that EI already does and I feel they could do way more with more resources.
