I have served on this Board for over three years. The passion and engagement of the team to provide resources to teachers and parents encouraging hands-on STEAM learning is amazing. It is a delight to watch the joy and delight in young children as they engage in these hands-on activities.

What is heartening is the focus on Title 1 schools, ensuring that students from under-privileged backgrounds are not excluded from these wonderful experiences.

I have been involved with RAFT for three years. It is amazing to watch the transformation of donated materials (from companies) into useful STEAM kits for children.
Low-cost teacher supplies, STEAM kits, makerspaces in schools, mobile maker vans are all ways that RAFT inspires the joy of learning in children (Gr. K-8), especially in Title 1 schools.
It is a delight to watch the sheer excitement in the children when they engage with activities at RAFT or with RAFT in their schools.

Amazing organization that addresses needs in STEAM education and helps the environment by diverting goods from landfills.
It accepts donations of excess materials (office supplies, furniture etc.) from local companies and makes classroom supplies available to teachers (who are already on tight budgets) at very low cost. It also turns materials into educational project kits to inspire hands-on learning in children (K-8th Grade) in the STEAM fields. It is heart-warming to see the delight in children as they learn with these kits or in the Makerspaces (mobile or fixed) that RAFT also provides.
