Review for FNE International, E Weymouth , MA, USA
My school partnered with FNEI and I was fortunate enough to be a part of a global health trip to Peru with this amazing organization. Michael Cipoletti and his team go above and beyond for their volunteers, making sure that they are well accommodated and are extremely helpful with the logistics of trip planning, etc. What is more important though, is their dedication and aptitude to provide sustainable, meaningful and ethical solutions to the communities they work with. Our group had many opportunities outside of clinic hours to immerse ourselves within the community, learn about the culture, the history, and to understand the various sociopolitical influences that those we served are impacted by. FNEI does a great job of reflecting this understanding in the aid they provide, having lasting community partnerships that work to empower the people on the ground to yield structural change beyond the time of the brigade. I left the trip feeling inspired and energized by this type of work and I am thankful that my first glimpse into global health was with this organization, where funds and volunteer efforts are well spent.
