Review for Animal Protective Association Of Missouri, Saint Louis, MO, USA
After our Westie passed away in late 2019, we decided to adopt a dog rather than purchase one from a breeder. I learned of APA in 2020 during an online search and read good reviews about it. We found Bobby ("Radwan" on their website) late at night, called and reserved him for adoption. He only was 25 lbs. at the the time. I asked about his history. He had been rescued from a kill shelter in Alabama. A lady in St. Louis adopted him but brought him back one hour later, saying, "I don't want this dog." We were happy to adopt him and bring him home with us. At first he was very shy and timid, and would not allow anyone to touch his head (to pet or scratch behind the ears). He learned housetraining faster than any other dog I've owned. He learned a few commands ("sit" and "leave it" -- I am not big on ruling dogs' lives with dozens of commands...I know how I'D feel). He now has a safe, loving home with a big, fenced-in back yard to run around in, good food, and a loving family. And to think he was unwanted... I was impressed with the APA facility (and its people). Clean, bright, professional, reputable. I have recommended them many times to friends who considered adopting. Thank God for the good work they do.
