As a first time volunteer at the Haag Lake event I was not certain what to expect. What I experienced was a joyful, rewarding day. Without exception every person at the event was so happy to be there. The boat captains and support volunteers had a great day but the happiest participants of all were the kids. I saw nervous excitement, unabashed excitement and the excitement that can only come from getting the opportunity to catch your very first fish. The kids were amazing and the very best part of a very good day.
