I learned about Speak! for the Unspoken some years ago from my groomer who was fostering the sweetest little blind puppy. She spoke so highly of Speak! and I reached out to volunteer after one of my precious pups became blind as a result of SARDS. I consider it a privilege to work with an organization that includes volunteers who are 100% committed to the mission of rescuing animals with special needs and the commitment is carried further to care for animals in need. The volunteers work tirelessly to foster and find the best possible homes for the animals in the rescue and they don’t stop there: they (we) also host and support fundraising efforts to educate and secure the dollars needed for the extensive medical care that many of the rescues need. Speak! Is a good steward of every donation given to us and, as a volunteer, it is easy to assure donors their contribution is appreciated and will be used as it was intended. It is a true joy to volunteer with Speak! as the organization is well respected and everyone contributes their time and talents to benefit the rescue.
