"I found the LP&CT in 2019 as a new Lowell resident looking for open spaces to explore in the city. I was very impressed by their organization and began volunteering for them in 2020. My involvement with the Trust has truly enriched my experience as a Lowell resident, from engaging in fun events like white water rafting on the Concord River or exploring the West Meadow property (that I Land Steward for) with an entomologist from UMass Lowell to being involved as a volunteer in meaningful projects such as helping protect endangered Blandings Turtles and collecting dragonfly larvae to aid in research for the Dragonfly Mercury Project.

Jane and her staff are very genuine, caring, knowledgeable and engaging. They show a true pride and appreciation for all things nature, education and environment in Lowell. Their gratitude for their volunteers is always on display. I am thankful to have found them!"
