I started as a volunteer at Save the Chimps a month ago. This is a tremendous non-profit that has helped rescue nearly 230 chimpanzees that had been used and misused in biomedical research, military research, pet trade, and entertainment industry. Some were captured as infants in Africa; most were kept isolated in small cages. Now at Save the Chimps in Fort Pierce, Florida, they run and play free on outdoor inlands. The staff and volunteers are amazing; taking on the incredible care, feeding, cleaning, and medical treatment of these rescue chimps. I hope to help as a volunteer for a long time. Prof. John Reed
