Farm Animal Refuge has become like a second family to me. I feel like I actually get so much more out of my association with them than I have ever donated They keep in constant contact (though you can opt out if you want to), sending pictures and videos daily to the point where FAR is like a home away from home, even though I've never been there. I see the faces of each animal that "we" have saved, and I know them by name and personality. Not only has FAR saved the lives of individual animals, but from the comments posted by visitors to their live presentations, I see that they're moving people towards having more love and respect for animals in general - including helping those who want to pursue a more plant based diet - and they're doing so in a gentle and non-judgemental way. I would encourage anyone to become involved with this organization in any way that you can.
