I was new to the community and decided to volunteer at the humane society in January of 2020. I received a call minutes after submitting my application and had a delightful conversation with The volunteer coordinator. My next step was to visit the facility and I was so impressed at how clean it was. I started walking dogs and made some great friends with other volunteers. Then Covid hit. I started fostering then and ended up a foster failure. Now I walk dogs and foster young puppies. My foster fail is the best foster dog mom. I can’t say enough about Oconee Regional Humane Society. I have learned so much from them. I’ve made great friends and I’ve been given the opportunity to love on so many precious dogs. I can’t thank ORHS enough for the love I receive and give to these precious babies. Thank you!
